I ‘m Aymeric, I’m a 24 years French cabinet maker. I spent the last seven years to discover, learn and practice the furniture making and the furniture design in France. Graduated with a degree in furniture design in 2011, then worked during 6 years (4 years in training, 2 years fulltime) in cabinet making, I realised that create a piece of furniture is an interesting and a thrilling job but it could be such a better job to design a piece of furniture and the environment in which this piece will take place. That is why I decided to go back on my studies this year at Duncan of Jordanstone in Interior Environmental Design (third year).
The choice of a foreign country is not only to acquire another language skill, it’s also to discover another way to learn, to think and to see in a different way.
Inspire by Scandinavian design in which I see the best representation of a simple, minimalist and functional design, I’m now raring to learn more about interior design and at the same time developing my own prototypes in furniture design.
